YOUR ITINERARY

Day 1
Route : Airport > Negombo.
Drive : 20 minute.
Hotel : Camelot Beach Hotel, Pledge 3, Cloud 9 Boutique Hotel or Goldi Sands Hotel.
Highlights : Upon arrival in the Airport, you will be welcomed by our Representative or Chauffeur Guide who will take you to the hotel at Negombo. Check-in to the hotel and rest and relax.

Day 2
Route : Negombo > Sigiriya.
Drive : 3 - 3.5 Hours.
Hotel : Oak Ray Elephant Lake or Fresco Water Villa.
Highlights : After breakfast proceed to Sigiriya, stopping at The Dambulla Cave Temple on the way to Sigiriya. World Heritage Site of Dambulla Golden Cave Temple is the largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka. The rock 160 m over the surrounding plains. There are more than 80 documented caves in the surrounding area. It had been constructed in 1st century BCE.

Day 3
Route : Sigiriya > Hiriwadunna > Sigiriya.
Drive : 1 hour.
Hotel : Oak Ray Elephant Lake, Fresco Water Villa or Cassandra Culture Resort.
Highlights : Guided tour to world Heritage site of Sigiriya Lions Rock Fortress.
Sigiriya, one of the most important archaeological sites in the world. Built in the 5th century BC by King Kashyapa as a royal citadel, Sigiriya is a stunning example of innovative architecture, garden plans, urban planning, hydraulic engineering and art.
After visiting Sigiriya you will be taken to the Hiriwadunna rural village, to enjoy your time with nature. The walk through the paddy fields. This short tour will last one and half hour and your guide will explain you with more information about the rice cultivation, lifestyle and experience of villagers, you can directly communicate with village people. Sri Lankan traditional Lunch will be served at the Village.

Day 4
Route : Sigiriya > Polonnaruwa > Kandy.
Drive : 4 - 5 hours.
Hotel : Cinnamon Citadel. Oak Ray Regency or Serene Kandy.
Highlights : After breakfast, check out the hotel and proceed to Polonnaruwa - This medieval city, a UNESCO world heritage site, rose to fame as the capital -10th - 12th century AD. The monuments are relatively well preserved and give clear evidence of the glory of Sri Lanka's past.
Highlights are the Royal Palace Complex, Audience hall, Quadrangle, Gal Viharaya four massive images of the Buddha cut from a single slab of granite. Temple of Shiva, fascinating Buddhist Temples, The Lankathilake and Watadage, The Galpotha, Kiri Vehera Stupa and the remains of former temple of Tooth are other impressive sights.
Leave Polonnaruwa and head towards to another World Heritage city, Kandy as your destination. Stop for lunch at the Wadiya Restaurant, Minneriya, next to the Minneriya Lake you can relax at the lake and taste Sri Lankan Lunch.

Day 5
Route : Kandy City Tour.
Drive : 1 hour.
Hotel : Cinnamon Citadel. Oak Ray Regency or Serene Kandy.
Highlights : World Heritage Kandy City is the most popular cultural city in Sri Lanka surrounded by beautiful mountains, elevated at 600m above sea level.
You will be taken to Kandy View Point, Gem and Lapidary Museum, Kandy market place, city and Educative and informative visits to Royal Botanical Garden, Peradeniya - 147 acres in extent started in 1374 as a pleasure garden of the kings of Gampola and Kandy. There are more than 4000 species of trees, plans and creepers. Some rare and endemic as well as flora from the tropical world are found in the gardens.
Evening Kandyan Cultural Dance show- It is a very enjoyable and entertaining one hour show that colourfully shows the Kandyan cultural heritage.
After that you will be taken to the Sacred Temple of Tooth Relic, just after dark, and it was a very atmospheric and a bit mysterious experience. Temple of Tooth Relic in Kandy is the most venerated place of worship for Buddhist throughout the world. Built in the 16th century this temple houses the sacred tooth relic of the Buddha.

Day 6
Route : Kandy > Knuckles > Kandy.
Drive : 3 hours.
Hotel : Cinnamon Citadel. Oak Ray Regency or Serene Kandy.
Highlights : Trekking at Knuckles mountain. The dense forest, surrounded by 34 mystical mountains that range from 900 to 2,000 metres, is home to stunning hiking trails. With cascading waterfalls in every clearing, quaint villages hidden amid the mountains, many a terraced rice fields as well as numerous rare and elusive animals, this 234-square-kilometre range displays the best of Sri Lanka’s diverse natural beauty.

Day 7
Route : Kandy > Nuwara Eliya.
Drive : 3 hours.
Hotel : Oak Ray Summer Hill Breeze or Golden Ridge.
Highlights : After check-out you will Proceed to Nuwara Eliya, stopping at viewpoints and Ramboda falls. Guided tour of the Tea Plantation and Factory with a Ceylon Tea Tasting.The evening is free for you to relax and enjoy different climate in hill country.

Day 8
Route : Nuwara Eliya > Ella.
Drive : 2.5 hours.
Hotel : Oak Ray Ella Gap, Ella Planters Bungalow or EKHO Ella.
Highlights : Check out the hotel at 8.00 am and your guide will drop you off at the Nanuoya railway station at 8.40 am to take a train to Ella (most scenic train journey in Sri Lanka).

Day 9
Route : Ella > Yala.
Drive : 2 hours.
Hotel : Oak Ray Wild or Oak Ray Lake.
Highlights : Leave early morning at 5.15 a.m. to see sunrise at Little Adams Peak, it is a 1.5 - 2 hours trekking after that you will be taken to the Nine Arch Bridge. After the breakfast start the journey to Yala National Park stopping at Rawana Falls and Buduruwagala Ancient Temple on the way.

Day 10
Route : Yala > Unawatuna.
Drive : 3 hours.
Hotel : Sayura Beach Hotel, Calamander Beach or Rock Fort Beach Resort.
Highlights : Morning safari at Yala National park. Yala National Park has a large land area which is covered by forest, grassland and lagoons bordering the Indian Ocean (978.8 KM2), in southeast Sri Lanka. Its home to wildlife such as leopards, elephants and crocodiles, as well as hundreds of bird species.
After the half day jeep Safari, proceed to Unawatuna beach resort.

Day 11
Route : Unawatuna > Mirissa > Unawatuna.
Drive : 1.5 hours.
Hotel : Sayura Beach Hotel, Calamander Beach or Rock Fort Beach Resort.
Highlights : Get up early morning to be picked up for a whale-watching tour, there are very few places in the world which you can get close to the biggest living creature today. Mirissa is famous for the whale watching. When back on shore, we will arrange a photography opportunity with the stilt fishermen and if you are feeling adventurous, you can even try your hands on this ancient fishing method on stilts.

Day 12
Route : Unawatuna > Galle > Unawatuna.
Drive : 1 hour.
Hotel : Sayura Beach Hotel, Calamander Beach or Rock Fort Beach Resort.
Highlights : Sun set at Galle. This evening is yours to relax in this beautiful coastal town, exploring the historical town with a walk round the ramparts or a visit to one of the best restaurant. The fort, which was variously occupied by the Portuguese, Dutch and British used as the main harbour until 1815.Three sides of the fort are surrounded by the sea and was declared a world heritage site in 1988.

Day 13
Route : Unawatuna > Negambo.
Drive : 3 hours.
Hotel : Camelot Beach Hotel, Pledge 3, Cloud 9 Boutique Hotel or Goldi Sands Hotel.
Highlights : After breakfast, check out and drive to Negambo to visit Sea Turtles Hatchery and Mangrove boat safari at Madu river.

Day 14
Route : Negambo > Airport.
Drive : 20 Minutes.
Highlights : Transfer to the Airport.
